PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable this invention to be easily adapted for several machine types and several specifications of a speed reduction reversal machine while using common component parts as much as possible to reduce their costs.SOLUTION: A speed reduction reversal machine 11 of this invention comprises an input shaft 13 to which a rotating power of a main engine 10 is inputted; a forward or rearward changeover mechanism 20 for changing over the rotating power of the input shaft 13 to a forward motion, a neutral state and a rearward motion; an output shaft 16 to which the rotating power of the forward or rearward changeover mechanism 20 is outputted; and a speed reduction mechanism 17 for reducing speed of the rotating power of the output shaft 16 to transmit it to a propeller shaft 6. A forward or rearward motion housing 18b for storing the forward or rearward changeover mechanism 20 and a speed reduction housing 18c for storing the speed reduction mechanism 17 are removably connected at forward or rearward parts in an axial line of the output shaft 16. Due to the fact that the forward or rearward changeover mechanism 20 has a speed reduction function, rotating speeds of the input shaft 13 and the output shaft 16 are made different. A speed reduction ratio of the speed reduction mechanism 17 is fixed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
