PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end effector for a robot for loading bread dough while holding it from its side faces.SOLUTION: An end effector for a robot for loading a bread dough piece while holding it from its side faces, is configured to have a pair of opposing holding plates each of which is provided with a metal sandwiching plate part at its tip, and the other end of which is fixed to each end of a driving shaft with its whole length extensible. Thereby, an interval between the spaced apart opposing sandwiching plate parts can be adjusted by telescopically adjusting the whole length of the driving shaft. The opposing surfaces of the sandwiching plate parts are provided with many protrusions, and surface-treated with a thermosetting silicon-based polymer or a fluororesin, as well as blast-treated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
