PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for improving meat quality of edible animals such as cattle, pigs, horses, deer, whales, and chickens by which the improvement of the meat quality and taste or indole of edible animals can be achieved.SOLUTION: By a prescription of feeding edible animals with water-soluble solution containing edible silicon as drinking water, excretion of the harmful substances in the body of edible animals can be achieved, and an increase in quantity of the content of free amino acid in meat quality and a decrease of the indole content of urinary and feces of edible animals can be achieved. Drinking water added with a water-soluble solution can be ingested without unpleasantness by all edible animals as well as meat quality can be improved (become better) and indole concentration in urinary and feces can be inhibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
