PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collectively read wireless tags attached to articles and grasp positions of samples thereof.SOLUTION: An article position grasping system 10 for grasping a position of an article 200 by using a wireless tag 300 which is attached to the article 200 and includes an input section to which an external signal is input and a storage section which stores external signal information together with an identification number, comprises a support part 22 for supporting the article at a known position The system comprises: a proximity arrangement section provided correspondingly to the support part 22 and arranged in the proximity of the article 200; and an external input control device 100 provided in the proximity arrangement section and having an external input section which enables input of the external signal information to the storage section through the input section.
