PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and means for automatable repetitive dispensing of liquid droplets or jets in parallel multi-channel systems, which enable continuous and automatic checking of the nature and quality of discharged liquid and, optionally, compensation to a defined value.SOLUTION: Provided are methods and means for controlled automatic dispensing of small quantities of liquid with a multi-channel microdispensing mechanism, which are suitable for use in automatic methods for biological assays and for cultivation of cells and tissues through optical checking of a dispensed liquid by means of specific light barrier units.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
