PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video file management system and a video file management method that enable a video producer to easily manage a video file.;SOLUTION: In a video file management system 1, when a video file is edited, an editing part 17 acquires the details of a user's operation on the editing, and an information management part 13 creates association data in which the video file and the details of the editing are associated with each other on the basis of the details of the editing acquired by the editing part 17 and meta information stored in storage parts (information storage part 11 and video storage part 12), and registers the association data in the storage parts.
