PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device for analyzing cutting behavior in bore drilling, the device capable of collecting a chip generated from a work material by a drill tip in a state of the chip remained connected to the work material, by abruptly stopping the bore drilling and cutting, and to provide a method for analyzing a chip generation mechanism using the testing device.;SOLUTION: A machinability analysis testing device has a structure in which a work testing material and a work material bearing are joined by compression force of a flat coil spring through a groove and a protrusion. During bore drilling of the work testing material, a stopper holder is pulled out to cause a stopper to be removed by repulsive force of the flat coil spring and thereby to cause the work material bearing to instantaneously separate from the work testing material. Further, the device includes a mechanism in which, simultaneously with the removal of the stopper, the stopper holder and a feed lever of a drilling machine work together to stop feeding of the bore drilling, and the work testing material rotates with a boring drill to stop the bore drilling and cutting.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
