PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial discharge detection device capable of executing the simple and more accurate self-diagnosis.SOLUTION: In a partial discharge detection device 11 equipped with a mixer 14 for performing frequency conversion in a process of signal processing, the presence or absence of a spurious signal of a constant frequency generated on the basis of processing operation of the mixer 14 is monitored in a failure determination part 21 provided in a processing part 20, thereby performing failure determination (failure self-diagnosis) of the device 11 itself.
