PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilevel power conversion device capable of achieving high reliability for the device and a load by suppressing generation of an unintended output voltage.;SOLUTION: The multilevel power conversion device, having a DC module 1 common to each phase and a phase module 2 of each phase, determines gate commands of switching devices S1-S8 of the phase module 2 on the basis of a comparison between an output voltage command value VCMD and a carrier signal and also determines gate commands of semiconductor switches Sa-Sh of the DC module 1. Furthermore, the multilevel power conversion device is configured so that the timing at which the gate commands of the switching devices S1-S8 of the phase module 2 vary does not meet the timing at which the gate commands of the semiconductor switches Sa-Sh of the DC module 1 vary.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
