PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a used car assessment support system that reads and analyzes a fault code recorded on an on-vehicle fault diagnosis device of an assessment object car, and can reflect expected repair costs in a purchase price.SOLUTION: An assessor terminal performs the processes of: communicatively connecting with a fault diagnosis device mounted on an assessment object vehicle and obtaining fault information recorded on the fault diagnosis device; receiving input of vehicle type information of the assessment object vehicle; and transmitting a support request telegraphic message including information associating the fault information with the vehicle type information to an assessment support server. If the fault information in the support request telegraphic message includes a fault code, the assessment support server extracts a fault contents description corresponding to the fault code and an assessment discount value corresponding to the fault code and corresponding to an automobile rank determined by an automobile rank determination process from an assessment information table, and transmits a response telegraphic message including the fault code, the fault contents description, and the assessment discount value to the assessor terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
