PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing tetraammineplatinum (II) hydroxide capable of sufficiently removing chloride ions.;SOLUTION: There is provided a method of producing an aqueous solution of tetraammineplatinum (II) hydroxide, which process is characterized by comprising a step of causing an aqueous solution of tetraammineplatinum (II) chloride to react with silver (I) oxide containing silver in an amount expressed in terms of metal in a molar ratio of 2.3 to 4 times relative to the foregoing platinum to obtain an aqueous solution and a precipitate, a step of removing the precipitate from the aqueous solution and the precipitate to obtain the aqueous solution, and a step of causing the aqueous solution to react with an anion exchange resin substituted with a hydroxide ion.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
