PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for inhibiting quorum sensing in Gram positive bacteria and methods for preventing infection and development of disease conditions associated with a Gram positive bacterial infection.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is an immunogenic molecular entity comprising at least one hapten, which hapten is conjugated to a polymeric carrier through a linker moiety. The hapten comprises a cyclic peptide or an analog thereof, the cyclic peptide or analog thereof comprises a macrocyclic ring, and the cyclic peptide or the analog thereof comprises about 4-19 amino acid residues.
