PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber friction testing method and a rubber friction tester which allow evaluation accuracy to be improved by properly adjusting a load condition which is apt to be affected by smoothness of an ice road surface.SOLUTION: The rubber friction testing method includes a preparatory test step of running a rubber test piece 1 while pressing it to an ice road surface 2 under a first input load Fz, to measure an output load Fz' during the run, a load adjustment step of calculating a second input load on the basis of the first input load Fz and the output load Fz', and an actual test step of running the rubber test piece 1 while pressing it to the ice road surface 2 under a second input load. The load adjusting step includes a first stage of subtracting the output load Fz'from the first input load Fz to obtain a value α and a second stage of calculating the second input load as (Fz+α) in the case of α0 and calculating the second input load as (Fz-α) in the case of α0.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
