PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dura matter model of which characteristics more closely resemble those of a biological membrane in comparison with conventional dura mater models.;SOLUTION: A dura mater model is a sheet body with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) attached thereto. This dura mater model is not split off when a needle is inserted into a membrane and tension is applied to a thread, and a feel of insertion of the needle resembles an actual biological membrane, and therefore it is very useful as a dura mater model. In addition, by using this dura mater model, application to a simulator of operation is possible.
