PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination machine capable of performing wireless communication while more precisely identifying various types of use tickets, and an automatic ticket examination machine control program.SOLUTION: An automatic ticket examination machine has a first communication part, a second communication part, an optical reading part and a communication control part. The first communication part performs wireless communication with a wireless communication part of a first use ticket by a first communication system. The second communication part performs wireless communication with a wireless communication part of a second use ticket by a second communication system which is different in the protocol from the first communication system. The optical reading part acquires electronic information encoded to an image displayed on the second use ticket. The communication control part operates the optical reading part and the first communication part, and when the optical reading part acquires the electronic information in a state where the second communication part is stopped, the communication control part stops the operation of the first communication part and operates the second communication part. The determination part determines propriety of passage of a user on the basis of information acquired from the first use ticket or information acquired from the second user ticket.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
