PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous work control system and autonomous work control method that can flexibly deal with a change in work environment or work situation happening during working.SOLUTION: An autonomous work control system, which controls an autonomous work by a plurality of work devices, comprises: a device state estimation unit that estimates an operation state of the work device; a work state estimation unit that estimates a work state of the work device; a device operation creation unit that creates a target operation of each work device; and a control device that outputs a control target value for controlling a drive unit of each work device. The device operation creation unit is configured to judge that a work prosecution of the target operation in a first work device is impossible, and a device operation change unit is configured to, when detecting that the work prosecution of the target operation in the first work device is impossible, suspend a second target operation being executed by a second work device; create a new target operation instruction for a third target operation supporting execution continuity of a first target operation in the first work device; and give the second work device the created target operation instruction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
