COMPACTABILITY VALUE MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND MEASUREMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compactability value measurement device capable of measuring a precise compactability value of molding sand with simple structure.;SOLUTION: A compactability value measurement device 1 comprises: a measurement cylinder 2 into which molding sand S is filled; a lid body 3 that has a bottom surface capable of closing one opening 2a of the measurement cylinder 2; a compaction mechanism 6 that compacts the molding sand S filled in the measurement cylinder 2; and a controller 10 that controls an operation of the compaction mechanism 6. The compaction mechanism 6 has: a compaction head 15 that moves within the measurement cylinder 2 with the opening 2a closed by the lid body 3 and compacts the molding sand S filled in the measurement cylinder 2; and a servomotor 9 that moves the compaction head 15. The controller 10 monitors torque of the servomotor 9 on the basis of a current value of the servomotor 9, and halts the movement of the compaction head 15 when the torque of the servomotor 9 reaches a prescribed torque set value.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
