PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dyeing agent for electron microscope observation and a method for dyeing a sample for electron microscope observation capable of easily performing electronic dyeing and having high dyeing effect.SOLUTION: A dyeing agent for electron microscope observation is used as an electron dyeing agent by dissolving lutetium triacetate in a solvent, such as water and methanol. A dyeing method includes a step of bringing the dyeing agent for electron microscope observation into contact with a sample, and may include a step of causing the sample in contact with the dyeing agent for electron microscope observation to be brought into contact with a dyeing agent containing a lead compound.
