The invention provides a series of speed reducers. In a speed reducer which has no main bearings, as well as a speed reducer having a main bearing, the axial movement control of an external gear is carried out at low cost. Each speed reducer has an external gear, an internal gear which is engaged with the outer gear, a housing which is provided with the internal gear, and a carrier which rotates relative to the housing; the series of speed reducers comprises a first speed reducer having a main bearing which is arranged between the housing and the carrier; a second speed reducer having no a main bearing which is arranged between the housing and the support; the carrier of the first speed reducer and the carrier of the second speed reducer can be employed universally. In the first speed reducer, the axial movement of the outer gear is limited by an inner ring of the main bearing which is arranged on a main bearing configuration section of the carrier. In the second speed reducer, the axial movement of the outer gear is limited by a movement limiting part arranged in the main bearing configuration section of the carrier.
