PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical super-resolution medium to be the material for a hyper lens that is mounted in conventional optical microscopes to greatly improve its spatial resolution for realizing super resolution, and functions in visible light or near infrared light areas, a hyper lens prepared therewith, and a method for production thereof.SOLUTION: An optical super-resolution medium 20 comprises the lamination of three or more and six or less unit laminates 21, 22, 23 and 24, in which each of the unit laminates is constituted of four, six, or eight layers, in which nonmetal layers and metal layers are alternately laminated. The lamination of the unit laminates is such that the nonmetal layer and the metal layer are in contact with each other between the unit laminates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
