PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sales data processing system and a commodity sales data processing terminal capable of reducing the time required for acquiring a code data of a commodity the bar code of which has failed in scanner reading.SOLUTION: A POS terminal 10 stores bar codes of commodities which have previously failed in scanning in a separate place. When another scan error occurs with respect to the same commodity purchased by another customer etc., the commodity information is acquired by scanning the separately stored bar code. With this, even when a scanning error occurs, the time and work to acquire JAN code can be eliminate and the load on an operator is reduced resulting in a reduction of settlement time.
