PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifically detecting bovine mastitis causal microorganism, and a primer set and assay kit used for the same.SOLUTION: A method for detecting bovine mastitis causal microorganism comprises: amplifying nucleic acid in a sample by a LAMP method, using a specific primer set for LAMP amplification; reacting an obtained amplification product with a specific nucleic acid probe set; and determining the presence or absence and/or amount of bovine mastitis causal microorganism in the sample on the basis of the obtained hybridization signal.
