PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Cu-Fe-P based copper alloy sheet for a lead frame reduced in residual stress, excellent in the flatness of the whole sheet after half etching and in the homogeneity of the surface subjected to half etching, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a Cu-Fe-P based copper alloy sheet having a composition comprising, by mass, 1.5 to 2.4% Fe, 0.008 to 0.08% P and 0.01 to 0.5% Zn, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities, and in which, by crystal orientation analysis in EBSD measurement by SEM, regarding the accumulation degree of &bgr; fibers, ODF intensity in the region of 65°&phgr;290° is 25 or higher, and the area ratio in the Cube orientation within 15°from an ideal orientation is 5% or lower.
