PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal ion-containing acidic waste liquid treatment method having improved efficiency of neutralizing coagulation and sedimentation treatment.SOLUTION: A metal ion-containing acidic waste liquid treatment method includes: a step A of contacting acidic waste liquid containing metal ions with a cation adsorbent to adsorb the metal ions on the cation adsorbent; a step B of desorbing the metal ions adsorbed on the cation adsorbent from the cation adsorbent to obtain a supernatant liquid containing the metal ions; a step C of introducing the supernatant liquid into an electrodialyzer having an anion exchange membrane and a cation exchange membrane to obtain concentrated water having higher concentrations of the metal ions than the concentrations of the metal ions in the supernatant liquid; and a step D of performing neutralizing coagulation and sedimentation treatment of the concentrated water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
