PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a suitable video according to a broadcast program on a display screen.SOLUTION: A receiver includes reception means for receiving broadcast information containing the video data of a broadcast program, display data different from the video data, and identification information associated with the display data and indicating a display screen on which the display data should be displayed, out of the first and second display screens, transmission means for transmitting the display data received by the external device including a display corresponding to the second display screen, and control means for displaying the video, according to the display data, on the display screen based on the received identification information, out of the first and second display screens.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
