Intravascular (percutaneously delivered) inferior vena cava (IVC) filters or other implants, retrieval devices or systems and methods. A funnel trap type device is described that is made of a shape solidified (eg, heat solidified) braid for delivery and / or retrieval of an inferior vena cava (IVC) filter or other medical device. Delivery and / or collection devices, kits containing them, methods of use, and manufacturing methods are all contemplated. Additional forming tools, methods, and device embodiment geometries are described herein.
