PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-off valve for a film type gas meter undergoing a smaller pressure loss than a conventional art, and provide a film type gas meter including such an on-off valve for the film type gas meter.SOLUTION: In the film type gas meter 10 of the present invention, as discussed above, first inclined planes 56V and 56V are formed in the upper parts of the inner surfaces of circular arc side-walls 62A and 62B located inside fan-shaped openings 56 and 56 in a valve base 50 of the on-off valve 90 for the film type gas meter, and thus the opening area of the fan-shaped opening 56 is enlarged upward. Thus, the valve base 50 can be attached to a case body 20 having the same shape as that of the conventional film type gas meter, and the pressure loss can be reduced by enlarging an upper part of the fan-shaped opening 56 of the valve base 50.
