PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clock that can acquire an accurate local time by readily and continually adapting to changes in time zone setting and/or summer time implementation setting.SOLUTION: An electronic clock includes: local time information memory means that stores pieces of local time information respectively corresponding to a plurality of preset geographical positions in association with the geographical positions; updated information acquiring means that acquires updated information for local time information corresponding to a geographical position selected from the plurality of geographical positions as updated information for a prescribed geographical area including the selected geographical position; and local time setting means that sets a local time with reference to the updated information if updated information corresponding to a target position for which local time setting is to be performed has been acquired, or sets a local time with reference to local time information if no updated information has been acquired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
