PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local time setting acquisition device capable of acquiring local time information in more appropriate timing while suppressing excessive load or power consumption, an electronic clock, a local time setting acquisition method and a program.SOLUTION: A local time setting acquisition device comprises: a positional information acquisition part for acquiring information relating to a present position; a storage part for storing local time setting in each of regions obtained by separating each location of the world for each predetermined range; and a control part. The control part acquires the present position based on the information relating to the present position, acquires local time setting in a region including the acquired present position from the storage part, defines the present position as a reference position based on information stored in the storage part, acquires a reference lower limit distance equal to or shorter than a shortest distance between the reference position and a setting boundary of a region to which the acquired local time setting is applied, and stops newly acquiring the local time setting until a predetermined distance of movement from the reference position becomes equal to or longer than the reference lower limit distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
