PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method of a raw material for manufacturing NCA from a waste nickel hydrogen battery capable of setting bleeding percentage of nickel to 85% or more even when a bleeding reaction of valuable metals or the like and a crystallization reaction of rare earth elements are same process and a recovery device thereof.SOLUTION: A recovery method has a bleeding and crystallization process S1 of supplying a sulphuric acid solution and sulfate of an alkali metal to a valuable metal-containing article to obtain a bleeding and crystallization slurry, a first solid liquid separation process S2 of solid solution separating the bleeding and crystallization slurry into a mixture of a bleeding residue and a mixture deposit of sulfate double salt of rare earth elements and a liquid excluding rare earth elements, a demanganization process S3, a dealuminization process S4, a second solid liquid separation process S5 and a solvent extraction process S6 of obtaining nickel and cobalt and the sulphuric acid solution, and the sulfate of the alkali metal are supplied in this order in the bleeding and crystallization process S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
