PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method and a recovery device of valuable metal from waste nickel hydrogen battery establishing a process of bypass of nickel refining process and reducing the number of times of filtration treatment, achieving simplification of whole process, reducing cost and further enhancing safety or recovery efficiency.SOLUTION: In a demanganization process S13, an oxidant is added to a mixed slurry obtained in a rare earth crystallization process S12 to set oxidation reduction potential of the mixed slurry at 800 mV (Ag/AgCl electrode basis) or more and further pH of the slurry at 1.5 to 2.5 to obtain a mixture solution containing nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate from which manganese is removed, and the mixture solution is recovered as valuable metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
