PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelter house which enables even an aged person, a child and the like to easily evacuate in a short period of time on the occurrence of a large tsunami, and which can be inexpensively constructed in a structurally simple manner.SOLUTION: In a shelter house for saving human life from a tsunami, a buoyancy chamber is configured by installing a styrene foam inside a bottom steel plate assuming an approximately square shape; a house with a restoring force is constructed in an upper part of the buoyancy chamber by molding cross-sections of a roof and an outer wall in a shell shape; plywood is attached to the indoor side of a steel plate for the roof and the outer wall; and an outboard motor and a battery are installed in a room.
