PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform marking from an initial point to an end point of marking with even thickness and color by eliminating concentration difference and color shading generated near the initial point of marking, without performing complicated control.SOLUTION: A fiber laser marker 1 includes: a laser oscillation part 2 including a light fiber laser; and an irradiation head part 3 irradiating a laser beam emitted from the laser oscillation part 2 to a marked surface M of a record medium. The irradiation head part 3 includes a light transmission member 32 for reducing the output of a laser beam emitted from just after the oscillation part 2 is started until the output of a laser beam is stabilized, to a value lower than a color development threshold value of the record medium, and irradiates a laser beam emitted from the laser oscillation part 2 to the marked surface M by penetrating the light transmission member 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
