The present invention relates to a nylon blend composition, for preparing fiber, which has improved moisture regain and shrinkage, and to nylon-based fiber, prepared from the nylon blend composition, which has improved moisture regain and shrinkage. A nylon blend composition comprises: from 70 wt % to 95 wt % of a resin into which lactam, having from 5 to 7 carbon atoms, and 2-pyrrolidone have been polymerized; and from 5 wt % to 30 wt % of a nylon 6 resin.
