The present invention relates to the field of a novel polyamine transporter. According to the present invention, a transporter that carries out polyamine transport and a gene that encodes the same are identified. In addition, according to the present invention, a screening method for a polyamine transporter activity modulating agent that uses the transporter and an artificial membrane including the transporter is provided. Further, according to the present invention, a screening method which provides candidate substances for preventive agents and treatment agents for diseases related to polyamine metabolism is provided. According to the present invention, a kit for screening an activity modulating agent for polyamine transport proteins is also provided.
