PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat and pressure application device that can improve a crimping property of the ends of a releasable information sheet that has been folded by two or more times and crimped.SOLUTION: A heat and pressure application device applies heat and pressure to a releasable information sheet, which is obtained by coating an energy-ray curable composition on a recording medium having a toner image fixed thereto and curing the composition, and folding the recording medium by two or more times and crimping the recording medium; and includes heat and pressure application means for holding the releasable information sheet and applying heat and pressure to the releasable information sheet. The heat and pressure application means has different distributions of the amount of heat and pressure applied in a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel of the recording medium, and the temperature or the pressure on the end sides of the heat and pressure application means is higher than the temperature or the pressure at the center of the heat and pressure application means.
