PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an appropriate non-contact type seal function even in the case that a relative position of elements is improper due to poor assembly accuracy and the like.;SOLUTION: This invention relates to a static pressure type non-contact mechanical seal in which a pocket pressure introduction space 91 is formed between a seal case 2 and a stationary seal ring 5, the stationary seal ring 5 is formed with a pocket pressure introduction passage 92 for communicating a part 82d at a downstream side of an orifice 83 at a seal gas supplying passage 82 and the pocket pressure introduction space 91 and at the same time a pocket pressure receiving surface 93 is formed for generating an axial thrust force for pressing the stationary seal ring 5 in a direction spacing apart from a rotation seal ring 6 under application of pressure in the pocket pressure introduction space 91 to the stationary seal ring part adjacent inside the pocket pressure introduction space 91, and the second opening force acting as the axial thrust is added to the first opening force generated by seal gas S flowed out of a static pressure generating groove 81 by the opening force spacing apart between the seal rings 5, 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
