PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for analyzing transuranic element, in which the transuranic element that is contained in spent fuel or fuel debris with fission product mixed can be accurately performed in a non-destructive and non-contact manner and in a short time.SOLUTION: An analysis method of the present invention includes the steps of: observing a ray or x ray from spent fuel or fuel debris by using a microcalorimeter of a superconducting phase transition edge thermometer type; and obtaining the amount of transuranium elements from each peak value of the ray or x ray that appears in an energy range of 30-150 keV. In addition, on the basis of an accurate composition ratio of the transuranium elements and fission product which is obtained from measurement by a TES microcalorimeter, quantitative analysis of the amount of the transuranium elements can be performed with higher accuracy from a result of accurate concentration measurement performed by a Ge semiconductor detector or the like in a state where the fission product such as europium is stored in a storage container.
