PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the channel utilization efficiency of a whole system by increasing the channel utilization efficiency of a secondary channel even when the time occupancy of a primary channel for transmitting a management frame is increased.SOLUTION: In a radio LAN system, a plurality of radio LAN base stations (base stations) exist in a range where mutual radio waves are detectable, and each base station is configured to, when a predetermined primary channel is unused, transmit a management frame to be used by a radio terminal for connection processing with the base station, and to, when the primary channel is unused, transmit a data frame to be used for data communication with the radio terminal by connecting the primary channel to an unused secondary channel. The base station includes control means for transmitting one or more data frames by using the unused secondary channel in a period for transmitting the management frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
