The present invention relates to color correction for a photo printer and, more specifically, to a photo printer color correction system and a method therefor, which are capable of printing an image by using color correction data printed on a smart sheet as an index to replace new color correction data registered in a service server with extended color correction data and correcting colors according to the extended color correction data if the new color correction data registered in the service server is present. The photo printer color correction system, according to one aspect of the present invention, comprises: a mobile application for accessing the service server, downloading newly updated extended color correction data from the service server and storing the downloaded extended color correction data; a control unit comparing the version of the extended color correction data with the version of first color correction data stored in a photo printer so as to control extended color correction data stored in the photo printer to be updated according to the comparison resu and a near-distance communication module for transmitting first extended color correction data to the photo printer by being linked to the photo printer.
