PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black photosensitive resin composition to be used as a raw material of a black matrix that can inexpensively achieve high light-shielding property and a low reflectance without using a multilayer structure.SOLUTION: The black photosensitive resin composition comprises at least (A) carbon black, (B) hydrophobic silica fine particles, (C) a dispersant, (D) an alkali-soluble resin, (E) a polymerizable monomer, (F) a photoinitiator, and (G) a solvent. In the composition, a weight ratio (A)/(B) of the (A) carbon black to the (B) hydrophobic silica fine particles ranges from 1.5 to 9.0; and the (C) dispersant is a urethane-based dispersant satisfying any one or both of conditions that the dispersant has an Sp value of 12.0 or more and that the dispersant has a molecular weight of 6,000 or more.
