PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic coating-formed article that has a hydrophilic coating excellent in hydrophilic property and stain-removal property, while maintaining a sufficient film hardness.SOLUTION: Provided is a hydrophilic coating-formed article comprising a substrate and a coating that is formed by dispersing oxide fine particles on the surface of the substrate and held there by a metal oxide layer. The metal oxide layer comprises a metal oxide 1 comprising an elemental sulfur represented by the following general formula [1] and a metal oxide 2 represented by the following general formula [2], and the mole ratio of the metal oxide 1 and the metal oxide 2 is metal oxide 1:metal oxide 2=5:95 to 40:60.
