The present invention provides a detection device of a safety valve mechanism and a detection method of the safety valve mechanism which enable the detection time to be shortened. A safety valve is equipped with a plurality of safety valves (11), a gas gathering part introduced with a gas via the plurality of safety valves (11); a gas discharge port (27) for discharging the gas in the gas gathering part to the exterior. A detection device (30) of the safety valve mechanism detects the opening pressures of more than two safety valves (11) which become detection objects in one time detection of the plurality of safety valves (11) of the safety valve mechanism. The detection device (30) is equipped with a gas supply part (31) for supplying gas, a gas supply path (32) connected with the gas supply part (31) and the safety valves (11) becoming the detection objects, a pressure gauge (34) for detecting the pressure of the gas supplied to the safety valves (11) becoming the detection objects; and a flowmeter (33) for detecting the flow of the gas supplied to the safety valves (11) becoming the detection objects.
