There is a need for neutralizing monoclonal antibodies useful for antibody therapy effective against Ebola virus. The present invention provides a monoclonal antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof that recognizes the inner membrane fusion loop of Ebola virus GP and can neutralize the biological activity of Ebola virus.
