The livestock feed efficiency improving agent of the present invention contains a coffee component and is fermented with bacteriocin-producing lactic acid bacteria. The coffee component may contain at least one selected from hydroxycinnamic acid and its ester. The bacteriocin-producing lactic acid bacterium may be at least one selected from Lactobacillus delbruecki subspecies lactis and Lactobacillus brevis. Livestock may be ruminants.
