PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dissimilar-metal polynuclear complex comprising Pd and Au, the dissimilar-metal polynuclear complex useful for the preparation of a catalyst for exhaust gas purification.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a dissimilar-metal polynuclear complex comprising Pd and Au, including a protection step for protecting a terminal NHligand of [Pd(μ-NH)(NH)][B(CF)], which is a Pd2 nuclear complex, and a mixture step for mixing the Pd2 nuclear complex whose terminal NHligand is protected, with Au(PMe)[N(SiMe)].SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
