PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement support system which is capable of issuing electronic receipts.SOLUTION: A settlement support system comprises: a store terminal of a store performing a transaction with a user; a user terminal; and a settlement support device which can communicate with the store terminal. The store terminal accepts input of transaction information, outputs a two-dimensional bar code containing transaction identification information, and transmits the transaction information to the settlement support device. The user terminal reads the two-dimensional bar code outputted from the store terminal, generates an electronic receipt acquisition request on the basis of the transaction identification information contained in the read two-dimensional bar code, and transmits the request to the settlement support device. The settlement support device generates an electronic receipt on the basis of the transaction information transmitted from the store terminal, stores the electronic receipt in an associated manner with the transaction identification information, receives the electronic receipt acquisition request transmitted from the user terminal, reads the electronic receipt associated with the transaction identification information contained in the electronic receipt acquisition request, and transmits the read electronic receipt to the user terminal.
