PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley mechanism capable of setting a thrust to have an appropriate magnitude.SOLUTION: A pulley mechanism comprises: a fixed pulley 3; a movable pulley 10 extending to an opposite side to the fixed pulley 3 and including a cylindrical portion 12; a plunger 20 provided on an opposite side to the fixed pulley 3 across the movable pulley 10; and a pressure reception chamber 40 that is surrounded by the movable pulley 10, the plunger 20, and a seal member 30 and to which oil is supplied, an inner circumferential surface 15 of the cylindrical portion 12 has a larger inside diameter as being farther from the fixed pulley 3.
