There is provided a chemical conversion foil for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor anode for producing an electrode material for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor anode which does not require cutting of a widened portion formed on a substrate and is excellent in film properties. In the chemical conversion foil A for an anode of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor of the present invention, an enlarged surface portion 2 and a planned cutting portion 3 are provided on a base material 1 made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. The expanded surface portion 2 is formed of a powder sintered body containing at least one of aluminum and an aluminum alloy. The sintered body is not formed in the planned cutting part 3. An anodized film 4 is formed on the surface of the enlarged surface portion 2 and the planned cutting portion 3.
