It provides a method and System for generating Probabilistic estimates of intensity of rainfall from radar measurements of reflectivity. In One implementation, a Computing System receives Agricultural Intelligence radar reflectivity Measurements corresponding to a particular location from an External Data Source.The Computer System of Agricultural Intelligence constructs a Probability Distribution of droplet sizes described include the possibility that the Rain Drops of different sizes based on the measurements of radar reflectivity.The Computer System of Agricultural Intelligence takes samples of a Plurality of values of the Probability Distribution of droplet sizes and uses the Plurality of values and radar reflectivity Measurements to calculate a Plurality of precipitation rates.Based on the Plurality of rates of precipitation, the computer system of Agricultural Intelligence constructs a Probability Distribution of precipitation rates corresponding to the particular location.
